Touring Cavalli Islands

A bit more touring the Cavallis -Scenic styles
Getting to like this spot so no reason to move on and felt like the great white hunter on return to camp as seems everyone else there were not catching much then I bowl up park my tent not far from a huge Motorhome complete with big big Sealegs amphibious boat that had been there for nearly a year I found out later from the locals.
Well the swarm of Seagulls and interested onlookers when I covered the filleting bench with the first catch must have been too much for him as he left the next day :wasntme:
The other campers in the small non King of the Camp type rigs came over and pitched in helping and made sure the heads and wings all got a worthy home and a big combined meal that night was soon arranged with a few Bevies .
Great bunch and good company and as one lot had tipped their Stabi and scared the Bee jeesus out of their lady crew they appreciated my offer of fish
So as weather was still Ok I went for a few tours up coast towards Mahinepua Peninsular and really lovely scenery but stuff all decent fish so back out around Cav's seemed the ticket and spent a lot of time just enjoying the pristine paddling and scenery with the odd fishing interlude .
Motukowaiti (Step ) Is. the one that is in the papers at the moment in dispute over anonymous Chinese interests buying it ( also now minus 1 Big Snapper in it's environs :P )

Jellyfish swarms and bulk Plankton stuff made brightly coloured parade in the deep blue pristine waters on the Seaward side.
